Your Purpose

What you will get: Reflection on The BIG Question.

It’s The BIG Question.

Perhaps the biggest of all.

And many never ask it.
And many never answer it.

It’s Your PURPOSE Question.

What is the purpose of my life?

See what I mean…it’s the BIG question!

And not an easy one to answer.

But so, so important.

You see…

People with a clear sense of purpose live a longer and happier life.

A large-scale study by a German Socio-Economic team of Experts recently confirmed this. They deconstructed a huge database of findings on what makes people happy and discovered that the happiest people on the planet were people who had one thing in common; they all had a clear purpose for their life.

In other words…

…the happiest people on this planet all have some meaning and some reason and some purpose in their days.

That’s why it’s Your BIG question.

So, are you by any chance puzzled because you haven’t yet figured out the purpose of your life?

Don’t worry.
You are not alone.

It’s a really tough question to answer, right.

So that’s why…

I’ve put together a few ideas to help you explore this question and gain some clarity:

1 – Imagine you’re at your 80th birthday giving a speech about your life so far. You come to the part where you talk about the purpose your life has had. What do you say? How have you made a difference to others and the planet? What’s your contribution? What do others say about you?

2 – Forget about age. If you think that figuring out your life purpose is only for the young, think again. It doesn’t matter if you’re 20, 45, or 85, this is a question that is relevant to you. And despite what some may tell you, it is NEVER too late to change!

3 – Remember Your Purpose is made up of talents you have and the values you believe in. So when you put those two together you make a difference. How have you made a difference so far? What are you really good at? What changes will you make to make an even bigger difference in the future?

4 – Life teaches you about Your Purpose if you take not of the lessons it shares with you. So you did some things that didn’t work out. So you tried some jobs you didn’t like. Fine – what has this taught you about what you do like and are good at?

5 – Discovering Your Purpose isn’t the same as fulfilling Your Purpose. That takes courage, conviction and often risk. But remember when you act in ways that fulfil Your Purpose, your heart will sing. If you act in ways out of sync with what you value and believe in, your soul feels sad.

So, even though it may be the BIGGEST question of all, and even though it’s not an easy one to answer, it should never be avoided.

Here’s my Purpose in a few simple words…

To make a difference
To help you make your heart sing
To help you grow self belief
To inspire you to take action to live your values
To share and make the latest findings from the worlds of psychology and neuroscience accessible to you via practical tools.
To leave a lasting legacy, having helped millions of people to find a little more happiness in their lives.

I’m off to carry on fulfilling My Purpose

How about you?

To your success
