Elphants and Riders

What you will get: An understanding of why the Limbic System is so important and a chance to join me at a free webinar.

The Rider was deeply unhappy.

Why?

Because he didn’t know how to manage his Elephant.

And what’s more…

He knew it was possible.
He’d seen others master their Elephants.

First he tried punishment. He said to his Elephant…

“If you don’t do what I tell you to do I will take away all your bananas!”

The Elephant’s response?

“Fine, I’ll get my own bananas!”

So then the Rider tried to bribe his Elephant…

“If you do as I ask, I’ll give you more bananas”

And what did the Elephant think of this?

“I don’t need your acts of kindness. So no thanks!”

And the poor Rider struggled like this for many years. In fact, he’d almost given up, when one day he met a very wise woman.

She sensed his frustration and offered to help him.

“Yes please,” enthused the Rider. “I’m so frustrated I’m willing to try anything you suggest.”

“OK replied the wise woman. Then try to listen to your Elephant. Try to notice what makes it happy and sad. Try to be mindful of the small and big changes in the way it feels. Try to be patient with it. Try to ask it questions and be curious about why it behaves the way it does.”

“Why would I do all that?” quizzed the Rider. It’s just a dumb animal.”

“That dumb animal, as you call it, is you biggest friend or biggest enemy, depending on how you work with it,” replied the wise woman.

And so…

Reluctantly, the Rider did as advised. He started to listen to his Elephant. He started to notice the small changes in how the Elephant felt and what triggered those changes. He started to ask the Elephant questions to deepen his understanding of what made his Elephant happy and sad.

He started to respect his Elephant.

And to his surprise, things changed. His Elephant started to respond more to his requests. His Elephant would sit when he asked it to sit. It would stand when required. It even marched forwards when the Rider wanted it to.

And soon the day arrived where the Rider declared that he had become a master of his Elephant.

This is perhaps the most important story you have ever heard about YOUR life.

Why?

Because you have a Rider and an Elephant. And the key to your true happiness and success lies in you becoming a master of your own Elephant.

Your Rider is your rational, intelligent brain.

And your Elephant is your subconscious, limbic brain.

And your limbic brain is responsible for 95-99% of your habits and behaviours every day, without you being consciously aware of it.

And some of those daily habits are not serving you.

They are not helping you create financial freedom.
They are not helping you have the perfect work/life balance
They are not helping you make your dreams a reality.

And only when…

…You become a master of your Elephant will you truly enjoy the life you really want.

And what’s more…

Mastering your Elephant will enable you to release your true potential. Helping you to really make your mark and make a difference to the world you live in.

So would you like to know how you canbecome a master of your Elephant?
