Self control

What you will get: A reminder of the importance of self control

“Can you press your ‘NO’ button?”

We all do it.

Eat that extra piece of chocolate
Drink too much again and then ask why
Find so many reasons not to write that urgent report.

We do things in the impulse of the moment, and later feel bad about it.

Yet we all have a ‘NO’ button

We all have that self control button that we can choose to use anytime we want.

Think of it this way…

Imagine you have 2 wolves inside you – a good wolf and a bad wolf.

Which wolf will dominate and become strongest?

Well the answer is simple – it depends which wolf you feed most!

So do you feed those bad habits most?

Those habits that you feel guilty about afterwards.
Those habits that you know deep down are bad for you.
Those habits that will not help you reach your personal and professional success goals.

Or do you feed the good habits more?

The habits you feel good about when completed.

Think about it for a moment…

How do you feel after you successfully completed your 10K run?
How do you feel after you made the extra effort to get up and go to yoga class?
How do you feel when you finished the report?

You see…

There is one simple difference between that small percentage of people who achieve their life dreams, and the majority of people who don’t.

And that difference is self control.

And here’s the great news…

Your self control is like a muscle. The more you exercise it, the stronger it gets.

So which do you choose?

A life where you regularly give in to those impulses to feed your bad wolf. A life destined to mediocrity.

Or a life where you exercise self control on a regular basis.

And then you reap the rich benefits…

More success.
More freedom.
More happiness.

I’m off to say ‘NO’ to a bar of chocolate.

How about you?

Your success partner
